Intelligent IP Communications Website

Project Type: Web

Client: Intelligent IP

Date: July 2009

Intelligent IP Communications recently underwent a brand refresh, along with a large marketing push through press and magazine advertising, and they needed to show this refreshed effort by designing and developing a new web presence. Their previous site was over complicated and badly designed, which made the work that I produced heavily scrutinised to make sure those mistakes were not repeated. Working with IIPC, we came up with a simple site structure and a simple and clean site design and with the use of drop-down navigation on the main navigation bar, access to second level content is made easy.

On the home page, the client requested the ability to have multiple areas that they could update. This was led by a major cycling hero area at the top, with IIPC staff able to upload an appropriate image for the background along with a title, description of the feature and select a page which it would link to. The news was also dropped into a single line scroller, and there third row boxes can also be reconfigured as the client desires (within the original parameters set out).

Content on the site is kept simple and clear, with a side navigation bar provided an easy understanding of a sections content and where the user currently is in the website. Through the use of tabs, a page can have multiple pieces of information all on the one page without the user having to visit/link to another page. Image galleries, resource lists for downloads, testimonials and related links have also be integrated throughout the site.
